A New Use For Duck Tape
An Example of New Duck Tape Usage:
My fabulous Horse Vet, Sandi Faris with Harmony Veterinary Services and my awesome Farrier, Brandyn Davis, were working on my “Dally” to fit her with proper shoes and pads. They used the duct tape to position her shoe and pad for the xrays, before nailing into position.
While I am saddened my girl has developed early signs of navicular, the good news is that with consistent proper shoeing, pain med’s and drugs to stop bone breakdown, she will be happy and healthy. Plus, Dally and I now are bonded even more. Who knew human drugs for bone loss such as Osteoporosis could also help horses? I hope this makes others aware of this scenario to help with their own horses.
You have heard it takes a village? Sometimes it just takes teamwork, not egos to make things happen.

Make it memorable
Often times buyers will visit multiple homes in one single day. So it is important to make an impression that will not only make the buyer feel comfortable in your home, but allow them the opportunity to sit and stay a while. Additionally, once they have left your home they need to be able to remember it. Proper staging can help your home stand out from the three, four, maybe five other homes they have visited that day.
Did you know, over 80% of our population has no vision for what “could be”? Therefore, use pops of color to draw people in and invite them to see what the space could be. Staging is not, throwing a couple pillows in a corner or adding a plant. It is also not about how you live in your home. Rather, staging is about evoking an emotion that invites buyers to come in, look and stay a while. Staging helps the buyer imagine their own items in the home and creates a feel for the amount of space the home offers.
Stay a While
Finally, you want buyers to feel comfortable in your home. You want them to enjoy there time there. So successful staging is also not about using over the top items that imply, “stay off” or “don’t touch”, but rather “come sit down”. Often times, furniture will be arranged in a space that may not be conventional, but intentional. For example, a chair or couch positioned so that a buyer can sit and enjoy a view.

On Our 3-Way Simultaneous Closing!
It is not often a transaction goes through without a hitch. My Sellers listing closed last week in Coupeville, March 29th to the nicest couple, who will also be my new neighbors. The property turned out to be a perfect fit for these buyers and assisted my seller to move on with his life, knowing his house would be loved by a new family.
Typically, working with off Island agents can be a bit of a headache, and these Buyers’s had agents from Everett. However, their agent Sharon Harriss and her partner Steve Harriss are Windermere Agents! They went above and beyond to not only see this transaction closed effortlessly. On top of that, we also had 3 total transactions that had to close simultaneously, all on the same day, in 3 different locations!
